7th Aleiversary Fun on the Farm

Joleen & Brian Durham Did you celebrate 7 years of Piney River with us last weekend? Thank you! There was so much beer including 2018 Mule Team Imperial IPA. We had sun, we had pillow-y clouds, about half of a glorious spring day, then clouds, but still not too chilly.  Despite all of our worrying about the weather, we really had a great to celebrate 7 years of beer from Piney River Brewing. Big thanks to Mike & Julie's Smoked Meats for providing a food truck for the day.  They had their best day ever, and our Piney River crew…

How to Celebrate 6 Years of Making Beer on a Farm in the Ozarks

Anybody up for a 6th Aleiversary? We moved our Aleiversary celebration to the last weekend in March this year in order to better accommodate the schedules of our distributor and retail partners. We wanted them to be able to join us in celebrating instead of being up to their eyeballs in St. Patrick’s Day revelry, and it worked! Brian and I hosted almost 100 retail and distribution partners at the BARn for the Aleiversary. Even better—over 600 of our friends and fans and Ozarks craft beer lovers came out for our big day on Saturday. And many of you also joined…

Raise a Ruckus with Us

Anybody up for a little Raise A Ruckus? Anybody out there interested in raising a ruckus with us? Let's do it next week!  Because Raise A Ruckus, our imperial stout will be out next week, and it's delicious. We also think it's ruckus worthy. Here's the story. Last year we brewed up our first imperial stout with KC homebrewer Michael Wells. The beer was delicious and a big hit in our tap room and in the retail accounts where we were able to place some kegs of the beer.  As we were planning for our 2017 production schedule, Brian and I knew that…

How We Celebrated 5 Years on the Piney River Farm

Five years. Five years?! FIVE YEARS!!! In February, during our grand opening weekend for the new brewery, I told people that five years ago, if you would have told me that there would be a new 12,000 square foot barn on our farm with a new brewhouse, new cold storage, new canning line, etc., I would have laughed and said, “You’ve obviously been drinking.” And here we are, five years later with all of those things and celebrating our 5th Aleiversary to boot. For the first time at an Aleiversary, Brian and I did not spend a crazy portion of the…
