Are you coming to see us at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival in Denver next week?

Brian & Joleen – GABF ’17
There’s a whole new set up on the festival floor this year, and we’re excited about it! In the past, the festival has been divided by region, which was fine but weird. Our friends and neighbors in Illinois were located in the “Great Lakes” region, not the Midwest. We always had people say they were looking for us next to breweries in the Great Lakes area, or they would have a Piney River beer and ask where they could find a brewery from a state like IL in our area.
This year the breweries are arranged alphabetically. So, you will find Piney River among the “Ps”. That pretty much means we’re going to be surrounded by pizza making breweries like Pizza Port in California and Pinthouse Pizza in Texas. Now…if only they could sample their pizza with the beer!
Technically, we are in Island #24 and Booth #32. Can’t wait to see you there!
Here’s our 2018 pour list featuring some beers new to the festival, some that have been poured in the past, and all are delicious:
Black Walnut Wheat, 4.5% ABV, 18 IBU – American-style dark wheat beer with a black walnut aroma and a crisp, black walnut finish.
German Road Oktoberfest, 5.6%, 26 IBU – Deep golden in color, this Oktoberfest lager features German Hersbrucker, a noble hop with a spice finish and a delicate aroma. This beer has a complex malt profile and full-bodied mouth feel with a crisp, clean finish.
Hobby Farm Ale, 5% ABV, 18 IBU – Malt forward ale brewed with honey and basil. The beer features a crisp honey flavor and a subtle basil flavor with an aroma of basil and honey.
Missouri Waltz with Raspberries, 5% ABV – Sour ale aged in Missouri oak barrels, fermented with saccharomyces, brettanomyces and pediococcus. Aged on raspberries.
As we’ve said before about GABF, we consider it a privilege to pour beer alongside our craft beer family from all 50 states. We hope you can join us in celebrating independent craft beer next week in Denver. Brian and I always staff our booth for the first two hours of each pouring session. Stop by and let us pour an ounce for you!
